本演講探討一種新的設計批評，一種符合中國和亞洲的建築批評方法。本演講討論考察一位重要建築師，相關的組織機構，和特定地域在大陸和亞洲大地圖中的角色和意義，由此推導出一種更加落地的本土的批評方法。

演講人簡介：
朱劍飛，畢業於天津大學和倫敦大學，從事建築理論、批評和曆史研究，尤其以中國、亞洲、比較研究、形式批評和社會分析為關注重點。他發表了“天朝沙場”、“中國與西方之間的批評性”和“帝國的符號帝國”等論文（刊登於AA files、Journal ofArchitecture和Harvard Design Magazine）；出版了《中國空間策略：帝都北京》（2004年Routledge出版，2017年中譯本由三聯書店出版）；主編了《中國建築60年：曆史理論研究》（中國建築工業出版社，2009年）。他的文集《形式與政治：建築研究的一種方法》即將由同濟大學出版社出版。

This lecture speculates on a new approach to design criticism that is‘grounded’ in the context of China and Asia, by looking at a key architect, hisinstitutional basis and his localities in the context of a larger map of Asia.

Bio
Jianfei Zhu, a graduate of Tianjin University and University CollegeLondon, is a theorist, critic and historian in architecture, with a focus onChina, Asia, comparative studies, formal criticism, and social critique. He isthe author of ‘A Celestial Battlefield’, ‘Criticality in Between China and theWest’, and ‘Empire of Signs of Empire’ (in AAfiles, Journal of Architecture,and Harvard Design Magazine), as wellas Chinese Spatial Strategies: ImperialBeijing (Routledge 2004) and Architectureof Modern China: A Historical Critique (Routledge, 2009). He is also theeditor of Sixty Years of ChineseArchitecture: History, Theory and Criticism (CABP, 2009). His collection ofessays, Forms and Politics: An Approachto Thinking in Architecture is forthcoming with Tongji University.
